Soak the badam for minimum 6 hours.
Peel the badam and grind it with the milk to a fine paste. Little water can be added if required while grinding.
Mix this paste with sugar in the cooking pot and close it.
Turn on the stove in a medium flame.
When the needle reaches the middle of the yellow field reduce the flame to low, stir it and close it again.
After 10 minutes open the lid and stir again.
Slowly add the ghee little by little and stir continuously.
When the mixture turns a bit sticky put a drop of mixture in a bowl of water, if it is dissolving in the water keep stirring for some more time till it thickens.
When done pour the mixture in a greased plate and make pieces when it is hot.
Enjoy the delicious barfi when it cooled. |
